The mission of the Department of Research and Evaluation is to facilitate measurable improvements in teaching and learning; and support data-informed decision-making by:

• Managing the district's assessment program.
• Organizing, analyzing, and reporting performance data.
• Supporting the use of research and data in educational and fiscal planning, evaluation, and accountability.
• Advocating alignment of federal, state and local legislation/policy regarding assessment promotion/graduation, and
• Coordinating Central Services and school accountability matters
