    The Learning Community

    TLC is a common place on the Internet that facilitates proactive and collaborative partnerships. TLC allows educators and students to come toghether to learn, organize and collaborate. This online communtiy extends learning by providing a virtual space for course work, group projects, and communtiy involvement. TLC can be used for posting and reviewing assignments, blogs, discussion forums, lessons, surveys, various formative assessments, wikis, and staff development. Connect to the TLC now.

    Implementing the National Staff Development Standards
    MPS has adopted the National Staff Development Standards. The National Staff Development Council's (NSDC) revised Standards for Staff Development reflect what NSDC and the broader staff development community have learned about professional learning since the creation of the original standards in 1995. The staff development standards provide guidance for MPS in designing staff development experiences that ensure staff acquires the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful in their work.

    Staff Development Calendar

    The online staff development calendar lists informational and training events for staff that are sponsored by various Central Services departments. Staff can view a district summary calendar of events or open a specific department's training calendar. The purpose is to provide equitable access to information on training and professional growth opportunities. Connect to the staff development calendar

    Mediasite is one of the district's tools for sharing information online. Mediasite is used for recording, distributing, archiving, and viewing presentations. Staff developers can record and distribute their presentations/training sessions. Connect to Mediasite now.
