    Building Usage Overview

The Division of Recreation & Community Services facilitates the process of non-Milwaukee Public Schools' requests for the use of an MPS facility to hold an event. The district shall have first priority in the use of school facilities. School-based parent groups shall have second priority. Individuals and groups in the community shall have third priority. There are specific guidelines that must be followed. These guidelines are provided through the "Building Use Guidelines" link in the Building Usage Documents section below. You may also refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions" document by following the link in the document section below.

MPS offers "Hours for Free Meeting Use" that are available for public meetings. The school principal must be contacted for a permit to authorize such use. Guidelines are provided through the "Hours for Free Meeting Use" link in the document section below.

Guidelines for governing the use of kitchens in schools are provided through the "Guidelines for Use of Kitchens" link in the document section below. Contact Person: Kymm Mutch, School Nutrition Services, 414-475-8368
